This is such a monumental shitshow, even I can’t predict the fallout. On the plus side, we’ll be able to pickup data center hardware for dirt cheap and it will be the dawn of a new hacking age where people try to get the hardware running at home to play GTA6. Do I really need 10PB of storage? For $100, why not?

With all the jokes about consultants, they actually do quite important work and don't just create powerpoints or layoffs like people thing.

Mostly because they're driven by profit at all costs, which is often the downfall of a lot of things.
