"Fault" has nothing to do with it. A mouse killed in a trap isn't "at fault" for being in my house when I don't want it to be there
Mice spread disease, cause structural damage, ruin food, and can bring mite infestations. This would be more like putting decorative corn cobs on your window sill and surrounding it with traps because you didn’t like the noise squirrels made eating it.
