Not really, it uses grid fins and gimbals. The closest cold gas comes to air on Starship is in the upper atmosphere.
Nice pedantry on the thrusters in air, but I imagine the software here to orient the car quickly using thrusters was borrowed from spacex, the thrusters certainly were.
Again, none of this has a practical application - it’s like the flamethrowers- Elon thought it would be cool, so they made it.

Many "trivial" problems had to be solved to make this prototype. How many "smaller" ideas will end up in a budget car is something completely unknowable to you.
But if I am wrong, if you have the volumes of detailed inside knowledge on problems, sub-problems, and all their solutions, and alternate solutions considered, all applied to a car, but none of which are broadly or tangentially non-flying car related; just all the basic information that would be required to credibly make your claim, I will be just as delighted if you post the list.
