Space lasers, man.
Space lasers, man.
Edward Jenner invented the smallpox vaccine. Smallpox killed 300 million in the 20th century alone and was eradicated in 1980.
Or maybe Norman Borlaug, who invented a kind of high yield wheat that is estimated to have saved a billion from starvation.
These certainly aren’t the kind of achievements Musk aims for (quite the opposite in fact) but I’d argue they have a far, far greater impact than anything he has even tried to do.
He’s got cooler demos though, I’ll grant you that.
I never claimed he’s out there wrenching on starship. The claim is that he builds companies that do spectacular things, which is why his spectacular claims for the future achievements of those same companies are not taken immediately as fantastic as they would be if spoken by any other person alive.
Your obsequiousness is disgusting.
