While I wait for my mail in ballot to be delivered, which is taking a suspiciously long time, while the President, who has already ben impeached for one visible and overt coup attempt, has specifically ordered the USPS not to deliver them on either side, this is a good place to note to you, that he has also declared anyone who doesn’t call it super intelligence to be THE ENEMY, in all caps.

I was saying superintelligence before, it's a descriptive and meaningful term, better than ASI for common usage, too bad I can't use it any more.

ASI must now be known as Best Intelligence (BI).

I doubt the members of the Court that granted effective total immunity to the executive (which a sole member found profoundly wrong) are "uneducated" and perceptible to propaganda. That the masses are led by nose is SOP in every country, without exception.

The US elected a clearly incompetent leader, not once, but twice. If that is not explained by lack of education and propaganda, I don’t know what is.

I’ve come to think that’s really more of a symptom than a cause. People more and more seem to have brains made of old dry wood. The lack of education, propaganda, ads, attention problems, electoral disaster and everything else in this metaphor is like the termites who crawl in and dig holes in it; they wouldn’t be there if the tree hadn’t fallen to decay.

Careful there. Seeing contradictions and mistakes made by your dear leader may not be as good of an idea as you it sounds. For the only reason that nobody would lift their ass to do anything else but raise their grave concerns over yet another violation of civil conduct by offending parties, which will probably not help to ones suffering from such.

This is exactly what I’m thinking. It takes a certain type of people across the whole political spectrum, that consciously or not take the Orwellian newspeak idea and think, wouldn’t it be splendid to implement it?

Another popular strawman used by all sides is that if you subscribe to ideas roughly encompassed by a movement or party XYZ, you automatically accept every idea and condone every action of all members of XYZ, even the wackiest wackos. Which implies that either you are a wacko, or that XYZ is not thought-policing their own well enough.

I don’t know, detecting and rebutting or avoiding these fallacious ways of thinking should probably become a part of middle school curricula, or we as a society are screwed.

Yes, but who told you the GP was in that camp? Speaking from experience, plenty of people on the left thought the whole master branch, the pronouns or (even worse) whitelist thing to be insane.

No, I don’t imply GP to be in any camp whatsoever. I am only making an observation about how the current administration seems to be thinking, and how the way in which it seems to be thinking doesn’t differ much from what they supposedly are „liberating” the US from, which could be hilarious as fuck, had it not been so sad.

Instead of getting a complete freedom of speech, there is a new set of shibboleths, and only the people and ideas from the in-crowd get a pass.

Something can be covert and (unintentionally) visible

Just like it can be overt and invisible
