Free software engineering: Grok Bot and OpenCode

x.ai

You can literally install a bot with knowledge of OpenCode, let it install OpenCode and tmux in its internal (Cursor|Box|whatever) VM, and let it plan the development of a piece of work and orchestration of subagents using OpenCode free models (now, some, having 1M params).

It's fast, it's basically free, and it doesn't burn all of your credits in a couple of hours...

"Hey Grok, develop me a new portfolio website on your own with the OpenCode Engineer." Boom, done.

We live in the most thrilling period of time!!!

Software engineers shouldn't complain about losing their jobs after seeing this.

We should also not be surprised to see a market crash in technology in the next 3 years.

So please keep going.

In fact, recently I attended several conferences in SF talking about AI, and everyone agreed regarding the fact that the human factor is essential and will always be the center of every aspect. Thanks to AI you can develop 50x faster than before...and this doesn't mean "no human in the loop" at all!!!
