As I said, it doesn’t matter if you or anyone thinks he “deserves” anything. That’s completely irrelevant. What matters is the standard we have for the kind of discussion that belongs here. The only reason this place exists for you to post this garbage is that other people make the effort to raise the standards. If that’s not something you’re willing to do, find some place else that’s more welcoming of this kind of thing.

sorry to burst your bubble but cussing is perfectly fine here (two comments on the first page of “comments” currently includes language which is significantly north of what I said (plus what I said is actually factual, check Zuck and Meta-DEI (that is what company was called when Mr. Biden was the President)

People who care about contributing earnestly include links when they want to cite examples of other bad comments. Stop playing puerile games and stop acting like a jerk. This site is for thoughtful people who have things of substance to contribute. The guidelines clearly ask everyone to avoid sneering, swipes, political/ideological battle and flamebait.

And honestly, if you care about addressing serious problems in the world, there are countless more effective ways to do it than this. Posting this kind of trash is just a waste of everyone’s time, yours most of all.

honestly not sure what in particular triggered you about my comment but defending Zuck might not be the hill you want to die on. I do agree that my comment is not kind/appropriate/… but some people like Zuck deserve it from time to time

You've ignored a lot of HN rules and guidelines, and are trying to pick a fight with a mod.. Is this the hill you want to die on?

Stop trying to deflect from your own appalling conduct. It’s nothing to do with being triggered or defending particular individuals or dying on hills. These are all tropes to make it seem like it has some grand significance. This is bog standard, mundane moderation. If someone attacked you like this here, I’d stand up against it just as staunchly. I fact I’d probably ban them instantly, without warning. I have a job to do and that job is to uphold the guidelines, which are intended to maintain basic standards. If you’re not willing to hold yourself to basic standards, you don’t belong here. Big tech CEOs aren’t reading your garbage but fellow community members are, and you owe it to them to either contribute things that are worth reading, or to keep quiet.
