An LLM automating web developers basically puts the company out of business. Why would customers pay a developer when they can just build it themselves?

There are a lot of things that people are capable of doing themselves that they pay other people to do for them.

I agree that LLMs have and will continue to increase the number of activities that people can DIY. But I believe many people will still choose to pay for others to do things on their behalf.

I don’t think you are going to vibe code your own bank or store website, you (or your agent) will still use their interface, no?

This is beside the point of the analogy though.
