People still play Go. And they still play chess. In fact it's more popular than ever. For activities people truly enjoy, the alien computer mind showing up and smashing everything doesn't change a thing.

Nothing is stopping anyone from thinking deeply about math. The angst here is about whether they can get paid for it or not.
