We know for sure that there have been multiple climate changes on the planet, all of the previous ones had influences on the animals living here, including our species, so naturally this one will be the same.
The golden question is are we going to be the next dinosaurs, or get lucky this time around?
Wait, is being “the next dinosaurs” going extinct or dominating earth for 150 million years? If the former, it seems like a bad comparison since Homo spp have only lasted something like 4% of the dinosaurs’ planetary tenure
Naturally the going extinct part, we are quite good at killing ourselves without waiting for a meteorite.
Yes; it's tricky to predict. On one hand, fungi tends to love moisture, so long hot Summers might work against them. On the other hand, fungi that parasitise on plants might do better if the plants are drought-stressed and less able to put up defenses.
“Summer” isn’t the dry season in all climates; in fact it is the wet season in the majority of climates
Fair point. Please mentally replace "Summer" by "hot/dry season" in my reply.
