Yup (and it's not ageism).

I'm young and stupid but forced by circumstance to practice a certain degree of respect for my own stupidity.

My philosophy is, "I write code like I expect it to outlive me".

Because sloppy work --AI generated or otherwise-- has a tendency to come back to haunt you.

Good philosophy. Don’t write code to show your own cleverness. Write code for the poor bastard who will eventually have to debug it at 2am while that outage timer ticks on and everyone keeps asking how much longer.

The code isn’t for you. It’s for them.

Of course, there’s also a chance you’ll be them. :)
