I agree your way is the only way, and is similar for me as well.

I have very particular ideas about how everything must work. Very particular ideas about which should be the tech stack. Meaning I don't have anything that uses nodejs or Rust.

The algorithms used, the abstractions that matter to me. Almost everything is different to what the AI would do if left to its own devices.

And many times I try to patch the code myself, and succeed, before giving up to the AI.

Anything else leads to insanity.
