That seems pretty good. I might add "curious" and "skeptical."

My 14 year old is pretty sharp and i like to pose philosophical questions that have no answer to him to watch the gears turn and see what he comes up with. I once asked him what he thought the meaning of life is and he replied "to make the most effective use of the resources available to you". I can't tell you if that came from him or something he read and, while not a perfect answer, i like it quite a bit.
Availability of resources does not entail skill in leveraging them. I'm not sure classical eduction is the best way to learn that, but it's certainly better than nothing and a useful first step.
