If you see a neighbour with an untidy lawn does it make you want to give up keeping your lawn clean?

You do understand that they are suffering because of choices made for them, by the west? Its our plastic that flows through their rivers.

It's not, it's their plastic, and their choices.

Well, color me surprised, but you’re right: in contrast to china, Malaysia, and other SE Asia states, India’s plastic trash is mostly (97%) self-made, with the largest contributor being single use packaging for consumers.

Another thing that might surprise you is 75% of the waste in the great pacific garbage patch is lost or discarded fishing gear.

If the neighbor is on the other side of the globe, hardly makes a difference to most people.

My actual neighbor, gets a talk then a call to the local enforcement agency if it doesn't improve.

But according to his post it makes a difference? "Why should I care because they are polluting on the other side of the planet?"

It's unfortunate we can't call a local agency to fix their attitude, but at least we can do our part. What it's worth if you don't even try?

Is there a local enforcement agency for... tidy lawns where you live?

I suppose homeowner associations are useful for something.

Enforcement of tidy lawns is genuinely a thing in very many places in the US.
