Going all in on Rust doesn't have to mean you'll rewrite everyone's firmware drivers in Rust, nor does it mean rewriting everyone's OS in Rust or rewriting the platform on which Rust is compiling.

As far as I know, someone outside Google rewrote the TypeScript compiler in a week in Rust, and according to the benchmarks, it’s better than the Go version. The same thing will happen here. There’s no time to wait for Google. Someone else will do it.
