Even with a test server running DeepSeek pro v4, we ended up getting a BAA agreement with Claude to add an additional layer of difficulty.
You are wrongly downvoted, and likely because you used a similie. But local models aren't ready for big times yet.
DeepSeek v4 pro is soooo close. By 2027 they will be usable if you can afford the $200,000 computer.
This law firm can.
There’s a lot of delusional people here who think cloud models will be around for awhile. Nope. Technology is a business that by definition moves fast - it moves even faster when so much resource is thrown at it especially when we have two giant nation’s competing fiercely. Cloud solutions are transitory.
Moreover firms will never trust OAI and Anthropic with their data in the long run - the moment an on premise solution becomes available - they’ll take it just to sleep well at night.
Inb4 China - erm dude there’s lots of devices we are all using that were assembled in China. That’s never changing.
The big times like... filling out a text form? I'm not asking Qwen to pass the bar exam. I'm asking what the data flow looks like from agent to a text form. Local models not being sufficient for your application is great, but completely irrelevant to this thread. That's why it was downvoted.
If anyone is feeling kind enough to answer, I'm still interested.
SaaS replacement, and some high value engineering software.
