An "appariteur" was caught on video launching rocks at police recently, then when confronted by a parliamentary rejoined someone wearing a bodycam. They aren't hiding anymore. It was then confirmed by the local prosecutor he was from the police.

Well, that is how the police gets informants into a scene. The more radical the action, the more respect and trust they get - if the scene likes radical violence in the first place.

If they don't - they are also immune to agent provocateurs - if that is rather what happened here.
