If the Brazilian right wins, then it will mean that not a single left wing party has won an election in South America since the end of USAID.

Bolsonaro is only "extreme right" by Brazilian standards. Debating with Chinese people taught me that he's more like center-left if compared to the Chinese Communist Party. A surprising result: clearly, there is still plenty of room for further radicalization. I did count him as right wing, though.
