> I use docker compose on almost every personal project
Even if you don't need to? Even if there's no benefit?
I was handed a vibe coded project recently, a radio station playout system. For some reason, it's spread across 8 different Docker containers. One container has just Icecast in it, for example.
It's a private system that runs a single station on a dedicated server that we have full control over, but because of all the containers, it's harder to do common tasks like check a log or edit a config file.
OTOH it's a godsend for setting up a local dev machine or something like that, where you need to run different vendor provided packages. but I'm tired of all the mindless over-engineering (which unfortunately the LLMs trained on).
