Why is the prevalence of typos increasing in the past year or so? I don't mean to single you out; your comment was just a convenient example.

Do people (and AI bots) think this makes them seem more human? Or is it yet another symptom of civilization in decline?

Before 2021 I hated typos etc but now I like seeing imperfect text in this new age. I wouldn't have considered it could be a bot (and I don't think it is) but it would certainly have worked on me (to what end, who knows..)

I tend to think the latest models know that "how do I make XYZ more human?" would include making typos. Seems pretty basic.

Maybe you've been brought up in a culture (Sweden) which has no values except putting extreme importance on uniform spelling? People from other countries probably don't give it the same importance.

No. I'm in the US and this is a recent phenomenon.

The occasional typo has always existed and is fine. The new trend is a noticeable increase in occurrences.
