I think lots of Catholics don't take that bit too literally though, eh? Like they might practice contraception despite what various Popes have said.

Sure, they might ignore some stuff, but they don't usually go and publish religious creeds that go directly counter to the Pope's teachings.

All Catholics do things they consider to be sinful. That's why confession exists.
