Congress Has a New Plan to Stop the Hemp THC Ban [video]

Where did all the freedom go ?

Wheres all the greatness at ?

Surely it's buried somewhere underneath all this greed and power lust ?

This problem is as simple as:

1. Allow domestic hemp products starting with 1% tax at manufacturing level, so as not to bother retailers and consumers with paperwork and rules and penalties.

2. Give said 1% to state governments, to mitigate any negative side effects aka a pigouvian tax. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pigouvian_tax)

3. Have CBO rescore every year, adjust tax every 4 years, as part of the farm bill process.

Anything else is a power grab, a money grab, or hysteria, and surely COVID gave us enough of that.

US history is one of robber barrons and regulatory capture.

Change it.

Perhaps a standard disclaimer letting adults know it won't kill them. Taken straight from wikipedia:

Psychological effects

Some effects may include a general altered state of consciousness, euphoria, relaxation or stress reduction, increased appreciation of the arts, including humor and music, joviality, metacognition and introspection, enhanced recollection (episodic memory), and increased sensuality, sensory awareness, libido, and creativity.

Sounds like the exact thing a population of workers recently replaced by robots can benefit from.
