You can see fate of Guantamo's officers and their chain of command. As far as I remember, nobody was really punished, several people were dismissed, but with full pension.

I do. Guantanamo wasn't killing American citizens.

But that guy who saw people beong tortured there did. The one who's execution was going to be live streamed. Violence only breeds more violence.

It was a necessary step and test before starting to kill American citizens.

Are you really asking if OP believes that ICE agents should face justice for the crimes and abuse they have committed?

I think they're asking if GGP believes they will face justice. GGP used the word "will".

I'm asking, if OP believes that they WILL face real consequences.

And why are you asking?

You can reasonably assume it will be demoralising to do so. Will the answer change anything material in the world aside from that?

Because it's not guaranteed, and anyone who shrugs and thinks, "Oh who cares? This will sort itself out. Why bother myself over it?" contributes to them not being held accountable for their crimes.
