GitLab's new 60 req/HR rate limit has a fatal flaw: It blocks the login page

Loading an issue board or even just a single issue with a bunch of info and my ip is blocked for an hour for the whole site. Genius.

Github already was unbearably slow and constantly blocking access when browsing commit history but this is next level counter AI-agent enshittification.

As in, anyone can block you from logging in for an hour by loading the login page 60 times?

As in by loading it once lol.
