Polymarket:

We've identified & fixed an issue impacting our international platform, Polymarket .com. One of our 3rd party providers was compromised, and we have referred this to relevant law enforcement.

Anyone who has been impacted will be made whole.

Out of an abundance of caution, we have temporarily halted trading & are working to bring the platform back online.

UPD: this may have been caused by the DebugBear compromise https://x.com/DebugBear/status/2115866496643535293

> DebugBear automatically identifies problems on your website and highlights the data you need to fix them.

Not to kick someone while they are down, but come on…

https://www.debugbear.com/ doesn't seem to be doing so hot atm

They took themselves offline.

Not a good look. They got hacked, post on Twitter for all of their users to delete it, then yank their own marketing site off the internet.

They're a very small company (one or two people) and based on public posts have engaged a security incident response company

If their domains were compromised they were probably recommended to take it down for now

I hope they come out of it okay, personally if nothing else as I can't imagine the stress and worry.

I am surprised such a tool from a small team would be used on Polymarket, assuming that was the cause for their hack.

It may be and look for Debugbear but its a terrible look for whoever makes vendor and security decisions at a large (definitely not gambling) company.

‘Trading’

Everyone involved in this, locked in a cell, forever.

Pound sand, donquixote, while significant portion of financial system is going all in to prediction markets and crypto.

Oh no. Anyway.
