Yeah screw this. When this change goes live, I'm gonna stop contributing to Reddit at all. I already refuse to login on mobile, and if I can't even access the site there, there's no reason to help them on desktop either.

I genuinely hope an alternative becomes popular soon, ideally a federated or decentralised one that doesn't have any of these risks associated with it.

I got pissed off enough to create one [1], now it’s “just” about making it gain users. I plan to make it the support matrix for my autovectorising compiler [2] as a start, and try and grow organically from there.

Both the server (x86_64) and the client (wasm32) are entirely written in xc, so there’s some justification :)
