The Sophus Helle version is very good, I don't know if this new one will be better or just different.

The link to purchase the book is broken, which is pretty unfortunate for the author

here's the working link fyi. i'm going to email the author https://yalebooks.yale.edu/book/9780300268096/gilgamesh/

Maybe not for your first reading but I liked Emily Wilson’s Sumerian trilogy that reimagines the stories including Gilgamesh in fantasy setting.

I also recommend Sophus Helle's translation
