What is the fullstop doing here? It's redundant to end a sentence with a literal sentence ending.

Basically, "are your thoughts on this final and unwavering?". The "fullstop" was externalized towards them, not towards my sentence.

Aside: when did we start calling a period "full stop" in US English? I don't remember anyone saying that 15 years ago except British people.
