Huh interesting. They expected the whole thing to fall apart so they actually had cameras up on a drone to inspect it. Very cool.
IIRC at that point they knew they had problems with the cables, and plans were being thought up on how best to deal with that, but they didn't expect things to fall apart so abruptly. The drone was there to inspect the cables, not to film the collapse.
When those cables go... dang that's a lot of tension.
