Using the words "born under apartheid" to describe someone from rich white familly that benefitted from apartheid and who became white nationalist ... is something.

Mostly, advertising. Radio, TV, Internet, as well as the agencies that create the ads. Americans are utterly blanketed with political advertising during our interminable campaigns.

He's extremely limited in how much he can give directly to the campaign, but as long as you've got a fig leaf that you're not actually working for the candidate, you can spend as much as you want.

That's just the First Amendment in action. The Citizens United decision extended that businesses, as individuals pooling their money, but when you're a trillionaire you don't even need the Supreme Court's approval.

The problem with this statement is no one will be able to tell if it's satire or not.

I recommend people not recreate cult language as satire.

It’s the win at any cost mindset with the post hoc rationalization that intelligent people can do with politics being utterly corrupt to stop this mess. We should really get money out of politics. SV is the new iteration of “Absolute power corrupts absolutely”. These tech guys have way too much money and power. You’d think they cured cancer or something instead of capturing attention and showing ads.

Several of those exact laws are on the books in blue states. Is it an inaccurate characterization of the platform, or are you outraged light was shone on it?

The man's a psychopath, he doesn't care about hurting other people or what anyone thinks of him.

It is always cracking me up when Republicans are pointing on anyone left from the center like a guy is some kind maosist about to seize the means of production. And then they will turn around and offer you 5000 USD per vote if they win.

Not even the thickest european left wing populists would dare to say anything like that...

If he's having sleep problems, it's because of the ketamine. His conscience, however, is not just clear. He is certain that he's making the world a better place for everybody who matters. (Which may be limited to just him.)
