You're way to harsh. The guy simply used what was available to him.

How is this different from using your €90 Anthropic subscription to the fullest and then discovering same usage via api would cost many thousands a month.

No doubt they are loosing great deal of money on it, but if they provide this service why should an average person not use it?

If a restaurant offers complementary breath mints in a bowl by the door, but you empty out the bowl and take all of them, you are in fact an asshole. It's not complicated.

But if they advertise all you can eat and you eat the entire buffet, it's fair game.

It's the advertising that makes it different.

There are sushi restaurants I know of in the DC area that have banned a guy I know. He will break the bank of any restaurant that offers “all you can eat” deals.

I can eat $100 or more of cheap sushi in a single sitting. And I am nothing compared to this man. If I was running a sushi restaurant, I’d probably ban him myself.
