I really ditched now VScode/Cursor after the extension vulnerability (beside I never used that, only the Claude code CLI).

Despite no using full VM's I using Orbstack Isolated machines to some level of restrictions https://docs.orbstack.dev/machines/isolated for coding.

tart is great to orchestrate native Virtualization.Framework hypervisor VM's on macOS. I've been meaning to use more but yeah i mostly do codex/claude/opencode cli directly on my drive and havent had any scare in 3 years
