if only other OSes had the same CUDA support as Ubuntu. Now I know how solidworks users feel..

The NVIDIA drivers are easy to install on Debian. See [1]. Once the NVIDIA drivers are installed, you can install the CUDA packages in the same way as for Ubuntu.

I'm not sure about the steps for non-Debian systems.

All other Linux distros have the same gpu drivers.

And you can have an ubuntu userland setup and any package necessary to run cuda in mere seconds on any linux distro thanks to toolbox and distrobox.
