They can simply connect to the existing grid and let others look for alternative or cheaper generation. Who's going to stop them?:)
You can just stop using electricity. Have you tried living in a tent? But seriously, rising prices is the solution.
I think that’s OP’s exact point. It’s not just the capital costs of the build out but the operations costs of running them that can be hard to predict.
