Funny because I live in Hungary, the country with the highest VAT in EU (27%), and BYD is not the cheapest at all. Neither in the EV and ICE (hybrid) category

There is a 27% tariff on BYD EVs imported to the EU, but even disregarding that there are cheaper Chinese EV brand in the EU than BYD.
