Ask HN: What workspace/productivity tools do you use and why?

I typically write my own performance analysis tools and test automation systems but when I need to display the results visually I use charts.js.

My favorite workspace and productivity tool is an over-the-ear construction earmuff so I can eliminate environmental noise in an open-office.
