I started with Claude Code and Codex in terminal like most people. I'd have lots of terminal tabs open which quickly became annoying and inefficient to keep track of.
I was also waiting for these tools to ship features that never came. So I've thought about what my ideal way to ship work was and it goes like this: create a ticket -> an agent makes an interactive plan I can annotate -> implem runs in its own branch/worktree -> checks/diff from the plan make sure the agent writes decent code -> merge.
In the end, I simply make sure that I described exactly my expected output and the agents will take care of the matching that.
I work on many projects at the same time, maybe there's some kind of ADHD going on, but I usually concurrently manage 10-100 agents at a time while I'm on the go, which means I need a top notch approach to organizing my work (with full capabilities from mobile as well).
So I've been building, since the beginning of the year, a custom tool that fits my needs.
Full disclosure: I built https://rev0.codes exactly for that.
