There is no existential risk, they are statistical models that predict words. The fact that anyone says this makes them instantly not credible. Anyone who does is either a grifter, psychotic or both.

Keep telling yourself that text autocomplete is super intelligence. You sound like the people who said NFTs are the future and you better get with the program.

I use llms all the time, they're useful, nobody is saying that.
