My first impression was that is was quite similar to Grooveshark, only with a bit more polish on certain aspects. I'm going to give it a whirl over the next few weeks to see how it compares.
Same with the recent CES trainwreck, I would have completely ignored it otherwise, but instead it was a sight to behold, and now I know Qualcomm took over sponsorship from Microsoft for the first time in many years.
Never underestimate the power of rubbernecking news.
Maybe MySpace doesn't do that?
They did do a great job making it clear and easy to delete your account though. Kudos for that.
More info:
"Using Web fonts in your design requires thorough testing on as many different browsers and platforms as possible, with a close look at various options for rendering text. If the screen display is of poor quality and lacks subpixel rendering, then opt for graceful degradation by serving system fonts to older browsers and OS. Conditional comments are the easiest way to exclude older browsers and operating systems from style sheets with Web fonts. Of course, JavaScript is a more elegant way to detect whether a client’s subpixel rendering is turned on."

> Is everyone seeing the same ones? Did Justin pick them out for me? Are my friends listening to these guys? I have no context here. I don’t understand why they’re recommended. I decide to move on.
Does it still surprise people when they are getting personalized-recommendations when they use Facebook Connect sites? To use the new myspace--

The author's point was that these recommendations were not personalized.
That's also what I took from the article; it doesn't take into account FB likes.
All I read is questions about why and context, like the author expect some kind of explanation. She doesn't comment about the content itself, which is part of the whole closed-mind attitude of the article.
