Following Twitter's issue blog, most of their problems appear database-related. I wonder whether a shift to Scala would have any real effect.

Hmm, I could see that. I just wonder how many of their problems actually come down to thread issues.

May just have to wait and see whether their new "beautiful code" does any better. :)
