Looks like Epiphany, the Gnome browser... [0]

Actually, a lot of OS X Yosemite borrows from Gnome's Gtk+, like headerbars [1]

Apple has been toying with putting toolbar controls into the title bar for a long, long time. E.g. Mac App Store. iTunes at various times. It just was never the default.

Zoom/maximize screen button is now replaced by the full screen button.

Safari is one of the places where the zoom button makes the most sense. Rarely do I want to read text that is the whole screen width.

Oh, the JSBench performance:

Safari: 6.5x

Chrome: 1.1x

Firefox: 1x

Hold the option key for older behavior.
