Irony? Absolute trademark stupidity. Unless the other zen* companies are offering a helpdesk software, there should not be ground for a legal dispute.
Personally, when I first heard of Zenpayroll and Zenefits I though they were similar enough services that they might be associated with Zendesk. I think there's definitely possibility of confusion.
