PicnicHealth CEO here. LMK if you've got questions.
As someone with Crohn's and a curiosity for alternative treatments, did you use uBiome at all prior to this partnership?
I had been curious for a long time but just sent in my sample recently. I'm SO excited to get results.
Unrelated, but while you are here, is Picnic still 4 people? I've been interested in applying for a developer position but am tied up with other obligations until late this summer.
yup! send along your info.
I JUST came across this press release from CCFA and it turns out this project is headed by my GI doc... is your study associated with this IBD Plexus program?
What kind of integration with uBiome will you have for regular PicnicHealth users (i.e. users who does not have IBS)? Will the uBiome results be available from the timeline?
Great question! We're still working on our solution. Let me know the best way to reach you and I'll let you know when we've finalized the design there.
uBiome CEO here. Happy to answer questions as well!
I've been hoping for an IBD study since I first heard about uBiome last year - very excited to participate!
And uBiome wonders why people were a little upset about their initial failing to get IRB approval...
We got IRB approval before we recruited patients or collected any samples. As planned, and is typical of many studies, we waited until after fundraising to start the IRB process.
We have had IRB approval now for over 2 years.
Happy to answer any questions you have about this.
