Computer0··on Israeli firm BlackCore suspected of meddling in New York and Scotland votes
This is the most delusional take I have seen. Israel is known for their extensive spying and foreign influence. You sir are the absurd one.
Computer0··on H.R. 6028 would fundamentally change the U.S. Copyright Office
Oh and the biggest bullshit about this is it removes one’s ability to hold their local representatives accountable. I just assume the worst!
Computer0··on Statement on US government directive to suspend access to Fable 5 and Mythos 5
I would be okay with that if it actually meant that. Very restrained individuals in reality would see nothing and very unrestrained governments would have access.
Computer0··on Petition to Withdraw Canada's Bill C-22
Tough as in a lot of competition. A lot of market segments dominated by Chinese manufactures have a relentless stream of Indian Startups nipping at their heels, is what I understand.
Computer0··on Anthropic's Model Naming, Extrapolated
Why do you think that?
Computer0··on US Military Personnel in Israel Found Secret Spyware on Their Phones
My sources say that phones can be confiscated when entering “scif” like environments and the software is installed upon the phone being returned as well.
Computer0··on Siri AI
I can’t even get hey siri, pause. Hey siri, play. To start and stop music and podcasts to work consistently
Computer0··on NSA using Anthropic's Mythos for cyber attacks
The only relevant except: "The San Francisco-based company had installed about half a dozen staff within the NSA as so-called forward-deployed engineers to guide the use of the technology and customise models for specific applications, two people familiar with the arrangement said.

It remains unclear whether Anthropic’s engineers are assisting the NSA in active operations. However, one person close to the situation said Mythos would be useful for infiltrating the networks of nations such as China or Iran.

“The best way to build a good defence is to build a good attack,” said a person close to Anthropic, who argued that adversaries are probably building their own AI-driven offensive technology. “If [Mythos] is not used to build attack agents, adversaries will find a way to do it.”"

Computer0··on Meta workers can opt out of being tracked at work up to 30 min
The comp-sci crowd has disgusted me since about when I graduated college. I do feel a certain sick sense of glee when these people who gloated they don't need worker protections and unions suddenly are left out in the cold. I hope the industry comes around, and stops acting 'better than' everyone who doesn't make 6 figures and get free catered lunch everyday.
Computer0··on OpenFOV – Webcam head tracking for iRacing
If you use eye tracking to control head movement then the head will move past where the eyes were looking.
Computer0··on Webcam head tracking, webcam to control in‑game FOV
Would be cool to see this become a fully viable TrackIR alternative.
Computer0··on A walking tour of surveillance infrastructure in Seattle (2020)
Can you show me the contract I signed that shows I agree to adhere to those rules? This is forced upon us with no choice by the individual other than to not participate and live in destitute conditions or in jail. The police are enforcers of rule, and for that I will always oppose them.
Computer0··on A walking tour of surveillance infrastructure in Seattle (2020)
It's a bit of a protection racket isn't it? The police extort me for money and claim it will be used to protect me from the situations your present. Yet they do none of those things, because they can't be there in that moment. The police are not the solution. Spying on me is not the solution.
Computer0··on MAI-Code-1-Flash
I went to VSC specifically to avoid the pricing I started experiencing on Cursor. After this change I have no reason to stick with GH Copilot, I'd rather keep buying OR credits.
Computer0··on Blue Origin's New Glenn blows up during static fire test
SpaceX had to blow up plenty to get to where they are.
Computer0··on Gitea CVE-2026-27771 exposed private container images without authentication
Yo this is crazy. I am on GitHub today but always open to hearing other options. This probably delays that consideration for me for a few more weeks at least.
Computer0··on GPT-5.5 Instant Update; ChatGPT Canvas Discontinued; o3 and GPT 4.5 Retiring
Afraid to add another decimal. We will now refer to this as 5.5 instant (new)
Computer0··on Claude Opus 4.8
I have been working with it for ~5 hours today and it has gone crazy twice to the point where I had to start a new session, looping reading a unrelated tmp file dozens of times over and over. And once for a weird api error. I will be honest it is probably a worse day for me than any with 4.7. But I don't want to be dramatic, I will keep trying it.
Computer0··on FBI Arrests CIA Official with $40M in Gold Bars in His Home
I'm guessing they decided they don't like the guy anymore? The CIA is very corrupt as an institution and things like this run rampant. Billions of dollars go unaccounted for a year at the CIA.
Computer0··on Scott Aaronson won't collaborate with the New York Times anymore
Well it sounds like Scott supports terrorism anyways - so bye? I am thankful for NYT reporting, and think it provides a genuinely great information service for Americans.
Computer0··on Factually-an AI-powered research tool to find reliable answers
What makes this product different than perplexity or chat gpt?
Computer0··on The FBI Wants 'Near Real-Time' Access to US License Plate Readers
I’ve toyed with the concept
Computer0··on The death of the brick and mortar toy store
My experience in tier-2/3 US cities they are dying, even the local small businesses, as well as in the suburbs of Tier 1 cities.
Computer0··on Samsung chip workers will get an average $340k bonus as AI profits soar
Is this evidence based? I am not a software engineer, nor do I live in california. Nobody I know in real life that uses this site is.
Computer0··on Logging Off
I call my representatives everyday so yes sometimes I would be able to leave a comment on a vote in time vs not in time.
Computer0··on Samsung chip workers will get an average $340k bonus as AI profits soar
$500k/yr? Do you think a lot of people make that much?
Computer0··on Logging Off
I require the internet in order to stay educated about my government, without it I would have a limited understanding of how my taxes are used. As much as I would like to "turn it off", I can only get the New York Times 4 days after it comes out.
Computer0··on Flipper One – we need your help
Any ml model can be called AI now.
Computer0··on Anthropic is expanding to Colossus2. Will use GB200
When did xAI have an advantage?
Computer0··on Flipper One Tech Specs
I for one think the PTT will be really great for calling specific tools without fumbling the menu and exactly how I'd like to use a device like this.
