FreshCode··on Some tips on how to be a better listener
I would read this, but it hurts my eyes. Respectfully consider a higher text/background combination: http://contrastrebellion.com/
FreshCode··on First Public Use of What Became Proxima Nova
I bought this font last year because it immediately struck me as timeless. 20-year old packaging with the same font is a good indication to me that the font will stay current over the next twenty.
FreshCode··on Show HN: MacWinKey, Apple Keyboard Command Key Shortcuts on Windows
My weekend project. I run Windows on my Macbook Air for development and pressing Ctrl+C, Ctrl+V for Copy/Paste kills my pinky and messes with my brain when I switch to OS X, so I made MacWinKey to swap the Left Control and Windows Keys. This lets you use Cmd+C, Cmd+V for copy/paste, consistent with OS X.

Uses a low-level keyboard hook to inject the correct keys, so no reboot required.

Surely this would be acceptable as satire on his part?
FreshCode··on Official Hacker News T-Shirt
Hey pg, I flagged your reply (can't downvote yet) because I really tried to like the design, but ended up questioning it - trying to understand it, without dismissal, just as jug6ernaut expressed it. Your comment on the other hand, dismissed this feeling outright while adding no value to my understanding or knowledge of design.
FreshCode··on Bitcoin rises from $14 to $40 in two months
I don't know enough about economics to judge, but is this growth sustainable and how high can it go?
FreshCode··on Permanent - the new spreadsheet for iPad
This is great. Please enlarge your feature-copy font to 16px and set line-height to 1.62em so I can read it :).

Well, there goes my evening. What stack is this built on?
FreshCode··on We are 2 Italians, in Treasure Island, and we are launching CoffeeStrap.
I thought this would be CoffeeScripted scripts for Bootstrap. I also struggled to get to the home page. Some testimonials would go a long way.
FreshCode··on The inverse of IoC is Control
Do I understand correctly that the writer's main concern is that DI configuration is done in XML files, or that configuration takes place at run-time, instead of compile-time?
FreshCode··on Micro Responsive Grid - a tiny little fluid grid
Really nice. I would recommend not animating font-size transitions when resizing. Eye candy can distract the viewer and detract from your message. For a design portfolio it may be more impressive, but for most use cases, I feel it would work better if resizing was instant.
FreshCode··on Show HN: Contacts storage the way it should be done.
Raleway Thin is a terrible reading font. Consider using it for large headings only and sticking to Helvetica for paragraphs.

FreshCode··on Show HN: I'm building a webapp for serious cyclists
Well done. Some feedback: - People don't scroll. It wasn't obvious to me that there was more info below the fold. - You need a strong call-to-action on the front page. - Put this demo ride link above the fold, because showing the product is great: http://www.cyclinganalytics.com/ride/897403933578 - Sell benefits, not features and lead with that. How does our app make me a better cyclist? - Consider showing a photo of a successful cyclist on the landing page.

A Nintendo lawsuit threat would be the best possible press outlet for these guys.
FreshCode··on Show HN: Fowndr.com Launched - A community of startup founders
Whenever I see a new service launched with such a gross misspelling as "fowndr" to "founder", I cringe and place it in my mental "doomed" bin. Wouldn't this service be better off with a longer name or different TLD, e.g. "startupfounders.com" or "founded.co"? Is there any evidence for startup success based on a misspelled name? I don't want to knock the community, but I can't stomach the spelling barrier each and every time I would like to tell a fellow founder about his community. "Just go to founder dot com! What? Oh yeah, that's oh, en, double-u, um. Yeah, and drop the e. Not loading? Nevermind, I'll email you the link tomorrow, or never."

FreshCode··on The Service Recovery Paradox
"Uncertainty is a common source of anxiety, resulting in dissatisfaction," is an assumption. When I sign up for a new service, I'm not thinking about outages. Conventional wisdom says that reliable services that are always online would be perceived as being more trustworthy than those which go down. It is a paradox because an occasional outage correctly handled results in greater customer loyalty than if no outage occurs, ever. Yes, there will be tipping point where the inconvenience of too many outages, even if handled well, will outweigh any loyalty gained from recovery.
