Splendor··on Why pens have rubbery grips
Same here. Everyone was envious of the kids with nice writing implements...triangle grips included.
Splendor··on Nuitka: a Python compiler
Is there a simple example somewhere of the types of optimizations Nuitka makes? I clicked around the site and couldn't find one.
Splendor··on Idaho Wants to Establish America's First 'Dark Sky Preserve'
I think there's a distinction between a park and a preserve.
Splendor··on Firefox Multi-Account Containers
https://github.com/mozilla/testpilot-containers/issues/462
Splendor··on Venmo is offering users an physical debit card
That's referenced in the first sentence of the article.
Splendor··on 10 most popular coding fonts
It would be nice to know what methodology (if any) was used to compile this list.
Splendor··on Essential may have accidentally shared customers’ driver’s licenses
I understand why the article is focusing on the "misconfiguration" but the real mistake here is asking for (and providing) sensitive data via email at all.
Splendor··on Developer Manifesto – You Are an Artisan, Not an Engineer
> "Walking the trail of tears with each other..."

I know the historical reference but I'm not sure I understand what the author is actually talking about here.

Splendor··on Snap sold fewer than 42K Spectacles, down 35% in Q2
42K is low but the product appeals to a very small segment of consumers: Snapchat users, who don't wear prescription eyeglasses, who happen to have a face shape complimented by the single size/style of Spectacles.
Splendor··on Travel the path of the solar eclipse
Out of curiosity, is there a reason you've chosen to focus on "dark" events in the path? Is it because of the shadow metaphor? I'm sure there are plenty of good things that happened in the path too.
Splendor··on Travel the path of the solar eclipse
I don't know about the other sites in your list but the Minidoka Internment Camp is 70 miles too far south to see the total eclipse.
Splendor··on Learn Python 3 the Hard Way
In your case I would recommend Effective Python and/or Fluent Python if you haven't read those.
Splendor··on “Easy” Desk Alert Button (ESP8266 and Staples Easy Button)
Well having to pay attention to every Slack notification invites its own sort of distraction.

Splendor··on Oldest Fossils of Homo Sapiens Found in Morocco
There's ground-penetrating_radar but that just helps you know where to toil.

Splendor··on Wal-Mart will pay employees to deliver packages on their way home
Also:

* What happens if fewer employees volunteer than is required to meet delivery demand?

Splendor··on Wal-Mart will pay employees to deliver packages on their way home
I don't think anyone lacks understanding as to why businesses dislike unions.
Splendor··on À La Carte Television finally makes financial sense for TV networks
I 100% agree. IMO this is the same problem I see on YouTube. A channel becomes popular (and in some cases partly funded by YouTube itself) and adds new shows to their channel. This makes it harder to find the content I want and less likely to watch.
Splendor··on View Counting at Reddit
Because it's a metric advertisers care about.
Splendor··on Chipotle Reports Findings from Investigation of Payment Card Security Incident
No doubt the timing of releasing this news on the holiday weekend was deliberate; intended to reach as few people as possible.
Splendor··on How Social Media is Built for Addiction
I stopped reading the article at this point. This is a big claim to make without any proof.
Splendor··on When TV Logos Were Physical Objects

Splendor··on U.S. top court tightens patent suit rules in blow to ‘patent trolls’
Reading this story made me curious as to why software companies haven't made an effort to exclude sales in that area. It seems like that would at least get you out of that jurisdiction.
Splendor··on ExtraTorrent Shuts Down for Good
IANAL but purposefully hiding the transactions may just open you up to other legal issues.
Splendor··on Get started making music
Cheaper than the $99 Intro license?
Splendor··on Should I buy ECC memory? (2015)

Splendor··on Government auction of wireless airwaves will shape the future of the Internet
In the case of the current headline "Government" obviously means "US Government".
Splendor··on Free Updated React (v15.5) Course by the Creators of React Router
Is this a "work at your own pace" type of course? I couldn't tell from the site.
