One doesn't eat a car, nor need a car. It sure is nice to have but other options exists for most trips. An electric bicycle makes it easy to go anywhere needed. Even a non electric bicycle can go a great distance.
On the other hand I just looked up the average commute to work distance and it is way higher than I would have though, 27.6miles [1] Still a long distance but not too long for an ebike.

This seems to sum up a lot of issues with the "internet"
If it is $1m in property value, do you count that as still $1m of income? If so unless the child is in great financial situation with a lot of already liquid cash, they would be forced to sell part/all of the property to pay the taxes.
If a parent croaks and has a small business, mom and pop style. How would that be handled? If they had a small corner store making 100k/profit but has no assets vs a shop that sells very expensive equipment making 100k/yr in profit. But has hundreds of thousand in assets that would pass down.
The oldest beer in the area HAS to be older than 400 years... But I haven't checked, but beer is old, real old, old everywhere.
Breweries isolate and propagate yeast all the time. Could be a 400yo yeast or a 4mil yo old yeast strain, it's yeast after all. It's old. Just because it was used 400 years ago doesn't matter. It's probably older. It happens all the time, at large breweries and small breweries.
Also Chicha is the wonderful spit based corn beer. The yeast probably won't be missed.
Side note.. I left my orange juice on my counter and it fermented with a yeast strain that's probably millions of years old... Did I resurrect it? Nope. If I plate it and grow a clean culture? Meh it still went down great though.
I don't mean to diss the work of the brewery but everyone does this. The article is just reaching for an article.
It's one of the only places I've ever had to deal with, where if you play ANY music the big 3 consider it stolen (1 rift is enough according to them) and your legally guilty (USA), with no one ever winning a case against them. It's just pay to play, even with originals.
Chips are getting put into everything now and will only continue to expand as they get cheaper. Amazon and others putting Alexa or equivalent into everything. Necessary or not. Coffee is done, pings a phone. Dishwasher, etc. Not to mention vehicles.
I wonder how long until my drill needlessly records how many holes it has drilled over it's lifetime. Or so that I can rent it and pay per hole drilled.
Make more and they will be used. As much as I will personally miss dumb equipment that just worked.
"In the past, vinasse was a problem in production of ethanol, but vinasse is also a good fertilizer (at least for some time) and a source of methane that can be used to generate heat or electricity. Moreover, other uses of vinasse involving also the formulation of nutritive solutions for hydroponics, formulation of culture media for plant tissue culture and culture media for algal growth."
Seems like it's only a problem because it's being dumped and not being purchased for reuse.
But for $100 get lifetime access to only that one purchased course?
Then if the consumer wants more they have the option to spend another $100 for a different course or add the $10/m subscription for other/new content.
I personally would benefit from this immensely in course style learning. I tend to browse lots of content until I find the right info. Then deeply consume the single topic slowly as I teach it to my team. I'm usually stuck paying monthly for something I use for a month then don't use until I begin the training a few months later then dormant again until the next training x months later.
An example.. pay for a Spotify/Netflix/etc monthly subscription but have the ability to purchase a cd/series/movie/book so that if you end your subscription you still have access to the purchased items. Essentially paying a monthly rate to peruse through material then purchasing to deeper dive/repeatedly use an item. The service might even make more money this way.
