WraithM··on Magic Mushrooms Injected into Man's Veins Started to Grow in Blood
This is an instance of fungemia, which is the fungus growing in the blood. Candidiasis is a kind of fungemia caused by a particular fungus family that isn't Psilocybe Cubensis (the particular kind of magic mushrooms in this case).

WraithM··on Haskell is our first choice for building production software systems
I find it extremely frustrating that I have to use Nix to use this framework. We don't use Nix at my company, and we likely never will. I can easily incorporate packages from hackage into our codebase. I really don't want to have to vendor this project myself. Why make a great web framework and then create such a large constraint on who can use it reasonably?

I appreciate that you wrote that you "feel" more productive with python. I 100% agree with this feeling at most scales of code size, and the feeling matches reality at the small scale. However, I've found that this feeling of productivity doesn't match reality in the large. I use Haskell for programming in the large despite this feeling of unproductivity, because in fact, I am way more productive.

WraithM··on Cellmate: Male chastity gadget hack could lock users in
Flour is a very very bad fire retardant! It would do the opposite.

I appreciate all the work you do, Mr. Jaguarpaw!
WraithM··on Show HN: Turn your “read later” folder into a physical book
I love this idea, but I can't help but think that this is a very 2020 problem. Wouldn't you just print out your articles and bind them with a simple binder in a former life?
WraithM··on Kube Doom, Kill Kubernetes Pods Using Id's Doom
Looks like it's a fork of a fork of psdoom
WraithM··on New Mac Ransomware Is Even More Sinister Than It Appears
The signature can be revoked. Apple does ocsp to make sure that things are still valid. If the malware is bad enough for Apple to notice, then they'd revoke the signature. Sure, plenty of scummy stuff makes it under the radar, but if it were ransomware, hopefully Apple would respond quickly to that.
