ampdepolymerase··on Socratic vs. Euclidean Forms of API Documentation
Don't forget the "Quickstart". For example if you run a weather forecast/historical data API most people probably only want "how to get weather on X day" which should be up front and center. The rest of the options such as filtering or finer tuning comes later.

Nobody is forcing anyone to pay for anything. If a paid product gains enough momentum to crush free products, then it is the free market in action yet again. Short of rough men threatening to do violence upon you, nobody is being "forced" to pay for anything.

ampdepolymerase··on The Business Case for Formal Methods
If you see my comment, it proposes using large infosys style teams. You don't need graduates per se, just people who have an intuition for logic and math, of which there are plenty. Plus you can prove isolated pieces e.g. TCP/IP stacks instead of end-to-end. It would not be as beneficial as full formal verification but it is still a large step in securing the most vulnerable targets such as IoT, industrial control systems, financial services etc.

That sounds terrible, can you elaborate?

Issue a clear company branded bag. This is actually a somewhat common practice in certain US schools for safety reasons.
ampdepolymerase··on The Business Case for Formal Methods
It already exists (not with TLA+ but for other formal systems). This is bog standard code synthesis. Problem is that it does not scale very well.

There is a better way:

To clarify, does that mean you can continuously train a model for e.g. hundred of hours or are you still limited by the 24 hours notebook limit?
ampdepolymerase··on Ask HN: What is the single top-priority software engineering problem?
In theory Flutter allows you to do that. (With the caveat that you have to write a ton of custom code due to the lack of libraries).
ampdepolymerase··on Ask HN: What is the single top-priority software engineering problem?
Pay math majors to manually (or with software assistance to help maintain rigor) prove the correctness of open source software Infosys-style. Get paid by enterprise customers. You don't need math majors per se just people with some math talent. Unfortunately there are tons of mathematically inclined people in the world, much more than there are opportunities so you can probably hire e.g. 10 proofs engineers in Eastern Europe/Iron Curtain countries (Soviet style math education while brutal, is tremendously effective) for the cost of one SV Engineer. Companies like Galois may be nice but they are expensive and don't scale very well; industrial automation and IoT hardly have the same margins as overpaid defence contractors. Training humans in TLA+ is cheaper. For example in Kazakhstan and Ukraine, Pascal is widely taught as part of the high school curriculum. Boeing can verify the output of their HCL outsourcing by an army of Slavic engineers trained in Ada Spark (which is not too dissimilar syntax-wise to Pascal [0]). Namecheap managed to train an entire customer service team in Eastern Europe on the finer details of DNS and networking technologies. All this on razor thin margins of selling domain names. It is not unimaginable to scale this to formal verification. Considering that GitHub acquired Semmle, this field will explode in the near future.
