This will be very unpopular with the children of helicopter parents who are in year three of grad school and have never had a real job.

Drink more seed oils.
devops99··on Bankruptcy judge rejects sale of Infowars to The Onion
Nothing he said could be construed as a call to violence by any sane and sober person. So it's moot anyway.
devops99··on Crypto Doesn't Deserve a Tax Exemption
They want to tax you on the inflation-driven devaluation of their own shitcoin (the USD), wow.
devops99··on Bankruptcy judge rejects sale of Infowars to The Onion
Given what was touted early, so loudly and by so many outlets, this is quite the narrative collapse, on an epic scale.

> in such a way that he caused threats

In such a way that somebody else decided on their own do something...

devops99··on Fish have a brain microbiome – could humans have one too?
Some do and it has a huge impact on human behavior.

devops99··on Forced to upgrade
The older iPhones are nice products. It's a shame there are so many gaps in driver support for these devices. A lot of people would be happy to run something like GrapheneOS on them.
devops99··on First-Hand Account of "The Undefined Behavior Question" Incident [pdf]
The racialize huckstering is long-term going to have a very serious backlash. People don't like being browbeaten over non-issues and they will rebel over it while totally disregarding whatever the pet issue is. Basic psychology.
devops99··on Motivating Personal Growth by Seeking Discomfort (2022)
If you bothered to look at the actual data behind "mass shootings", you'd already know they're mostly gang related, and avoid making such an abhorrent post.

Australia had literal internment camps during COVID, and Australians had to video chat to "check in" with police to prove they really were where they were. Fuck that. I'd rather have the 2nd Amendment.

Where is that traffic sourced from? I am neutrally curious about it myself.

Alex maintains 35 to 40 employees at any given time and has like a 99.99% uptime of running a 3-hour show plus at least two other shows (2-hour and 1-hour) every single day.

He shouts a lot (tough shit I guess), and some people don't like that. Irrespective of opinions about his viewpoints no one can argue that he works like an Ox.

I'm an SRE that other SREs consider reliable (lmao) and I don't have half that discipline.

Yeah, there's that section of the population that is all "oh no, you can't tacitly approve of listening to [thing] or [some opinion] because that's a bad think". And then there's the rest of the population that just doesn't give a shit and won't hesitate to say "yeah, the government is not your fucking dad, maybe it's time to grow up".
devops99··on X's Objection to The Onion Buying InfoWars
Yeah, pretty scary. Well at least he brought this issue to my attention. Since then I have actually put effort into filtering the water I let go into my body. So that's good.

No, I am drugs.
devops99··on X's Objection to The Onion Buying InfoWars
Wow, that's a lot of detail.

Judges get very pissed when people hide shit from them. They also get very pissed when someone blatantly skirts existing law. They could actually face serious jailtime for that. They'll be very lucky if this doesn't backfire extremely hard on them.

Even wilder, a lot of people, mostly the Reddit/Bluesky types (you can imagine), are going to lose their fucking minds off of this.

What a fuckin' year this has been, and we're not even in the last month of it.

Alex Jones is, for better or worse, extremely popular. As in, he has more active daily listeners than Fox and CNN combined. Yeah, I know.

Elon Musk is boosting his reputation by assisting Alex Jones, or at least that's what Elon Musk believes.

“I want a fair and transparent process and let’s just see where the process goes,” Lopez said.

Yikes.

devops99··on I Didn't Need Kubernetes, and You Probably Don't Either
These anti-Kubernetes articles are a major signal that the competency crisis is very real.
devops99··on I Didn't Need Kubernetes, and You Probably Don't Either
Both EKS (Amazon) and GKE (Google Cloud) run Cilium for the networking part of their managed Kubernetes offerings. That's the only real "hard part". From the users' point of view, the S3 buckets, the network-attached block devices, and compute (CRIO container runtime) are all the same.
